Focus on Human Rights at The University of Melbourne

A significant amount of human rights related and activities are being conducted at The University of Melbourne. These include human rights research and funded projects, human rights research in centres and departments, student activities and working groups - among a broad array of other human rights initiatives. 6 June 2008 Workshop: Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities came into force on May 3 2008. The Human Rights Forum, in conjunction with the Human Rights Law Resource Centre hosted workshop examining the development of the Convention and the ramifications of its entry into force. Presenters included Dr Martin Leckey, Associate Professor (LaTrobe), and Phillip French. Raelene West of the Human Rights Forum chaired the workshop.
